Peace Transitional Home (PETH) acts as a temporary home for accepting, acknowledging, collecting, supporting, caring for and providing for the needs of abandoned, rejected, trapped or stranded, abused and destitute children from any part of Uganda. We work to ensure the appropriate welfare and education of these disadvantaged children.
By choosing to sponsor a child, you help us to provide shelter, medical care, education, food and clothing for children and young people. Each child needs more than one sponsor to be able to meet an array of their individual needs.

We have two monthly sponsorship packages: Basic Sponsorship (100,000 UGX) and Premium Sponsorship (150,000 UGX). You can choose either of the sponsorship packages. The premium package helps us take care of those children at PETH who haven't yet go a sponsor.

Jeremiah was rescued by a nearby neighbor from deep neglect at 2 months old where by his mother refused to breast feed him ever since she produced him and the child was almost going to die. Baby Jeremiah was brought to Peace Transitional Home by the concerned authorities very sick, malnourished weighing less a kilogram and was on death point. His short life had been full of incredible sadness and lack of love.
Through our care, Jeremiah started responding to the medication, nutritious food and sweet love. He is now healthy, part of a family that absolutely adores him, and has a future that has been rewritten and is filled with hope. Jeremiah likes milk so much and whenever you whisper any baby song in his ears he smiles. Mukisa was abandoned by her mother in unfinished house. The baby was wrapped in one bed sheet and found shivering due to coldness, the child was rescued by a good Samaritan and later reported the matter to the area chairperson. He was brought to Peace Transitional Home where he would be safe, cared for and educated. Despite his difficult start in life, we are happy to share that Barik is doing well in all the developmental areas of his growth.
Mukisa Barik is physically and mentally okay, he likes laughing, he only cries when hungry. He enjoys playing with others. He has a good appetite, he likes milk so much and he can sit without any support. We are thankful for all of our faithful partners who give hope to the children in our care.

These twins were abandoned at 1 month by their father after the death of their mother and instantly they became orphans. These twins were too tiny though they were physically and mentally okay. With no family and a sure death sentence without someone to step in and care for this precious life they wouldn’t be here today. Their lives would have looked very different if it wasn’t Peace Transitional Home who took them in and cared for them.
They have the most beautiful smiles and enjoy playing with other children in our care. They can react to tunes of music and enjoys cartoon. Their best meal is rice, matooke and meat. Thank you all for your support and prayers.

Joshua was abandoned by his mother. He was rescued by a good Samaritan and brought to Peace Transitional home by concerned authorities where he is receiving medical support, shelter and protection from harmful habits, love and care, attain development needs and nutrition support.
Joshua was given a warm welcome by other children in our care, has been shown unconditional love. Joshua likes smiling, he is so active in playing with others and has a good appetite. His best meal is posho, rice and meat.

Annabelle was abandoned at 7 months old. Annabelle was rescued by a good Samaritan and brought to Peace Transitional Home by the concerned authorities where she has been loved and cared for. Annabelle is physically and mentally okay.
She is a humble girl and she loves attending school whenever she sees others going to class. She enjoys some rhythms in class and loves her teacher. she likes more of drinks than eating.

Kisakye was abandoned by unknown person and she was found sleeping in a chair in the shade of the house. Kisakye was rescued and welcomed into the loving care of Peace Transitional Home. She was malnourished and needed emergency care and good feeding. This precious girl’s life was on high demand on the child trafficking market due to her skin disease. She was not talking nor eating by her own. Through our care, kisakya started responding to the medication, nutritious food, love and care.
She is now in nursery school at Peace Transitional School. So far she can sing, dance, praying to God is part of her life and enjoys outside activities. Red is her best colour. She is so friendly to both young and old people, and loves interacting with other children. Peace loves petty animals. Rice and meat are her favorite meal. Balungi was abandoned at 5 months by unknown person and was covered with clothes. He was rescued and brought to Peace transitional home to receive medical support, shelter and protection from harmful habits, education, love and care, attain development needs and nutrition support. He has lived at Peace Transitional Home for all his life and has grown up to be an extremely boy. Starting his first year in nursery school he received the highest marks in his class placing him in good ranking. This loved little boy will have a very bright future because of the love he has towards education. He has a very sweet spirit, an amazing memory.
While at school, Benjamin is very active in class eager about learning English, writing, shading and in his free time he enjoys reading books with his friends. Bottle filling and running race are his favorite activities. Green and blue colors are his favorite. Kimera was abandoned by her mother to the relatives who also abandoned him to the neighborhood. The neighbors had 9 children in one room and they were not able to raise that number of children since they were financially unstable. Kimera was unable to cope, and became malnourished and ended up in hospital severely sick. He was rescued by a nearby neighbor and brought to Peace Transitional Home for emergence protection, care and was given a temporary home as trace backs of parents were being done by the police.
Edrine started his nursery school and he was asked by his teacher to read and speak a loud in class, he would cry. Like many at- risk children, an unstable and stressful home life left kimera without the support he needed to thrive in school. Peace Transitional home changed his life story and Edirne is now able to attend school at Peace Transitional School where he is acquiring good and quality education.
Edrine is very active in class and enjoys practical work and his dream is to become a doctor. Setting the table and matching bottles to lids are his favorite practical work during study time. Fingerprint letters and alphabet ball are his best activities. Blue is his favorite color. Rice and chicken are his best meal. Jonathan was abandoned at 3 months by unknown person in a tent at the causality area. He was rescued and brought to Peace Transitional Home by the concerned authorities to receive temporary home, medical support, shelter and protection from harmful habits, love and care, attain development needs and nutrition support.
Peace Transitional Home is providing Jonathan with a quality education, so he can grow up to be famous person in Uganda. Jonathan has always loved games like Number match-slap game and letter matching archeology game, writing and practical work are his favorite subjects. He is active in class. During the school break time, Jonathan share his eats with other children. He is so friendly and he interacts with other children and red is his favorite color. His most loved meal is rice and meat, he hopes to be a pilot in future.
Jonathan loves God, delights in singing praises to Him, pray before eating food and when going to sleep. We pray that he continue to grow in his devotion to God.

Frank was abandoned by her biological mad mother. After KCCA taking her things and she had nowhere to sleep with her child. She abandoned the child in the morning and moved away leaving the child with someone who reported the case to the nearest police station. He was rescued and referred to Peace Transitional home to receive medical support, shelter and protection from harmful habits, love and care, attain development needs and nutrition support.
Frank is now studying at Peace Transitional School and loves shading, sliding, playing football and compete with his fellow classmates. With outside activities, bottle filing and face painting are his best. Just as many, rice and meat are his favorite meal.

Benson was given away for foster care / adoption because, he is a result of incest. The father raped her 13 years old girl. The girl got pregnant and delivered this child. The family decided to give the child away ever since it’s a taboo in our culture to raise a child as a result of incest. Benson was referred to Peace Transitional Home by the concerned authorities to receive medical support, shelter and protection from harmful habits, love and care, attain development needs and nutrition support.
Peace Transitional Home changed Benson’s story and is now able to attend school at Peace Transitional School where he acquires good and quality education. While at school, he is very enthusiastic about learning English, loves writing and reading books. Green is his favorite color and in future, he would love to be a pastor because he loves talking about God. His best dish is rice and meat. Nsubuga was abandoned by her biological mother and father at the land lord’s house in wobulenzi. The parents of the child laid him in a house which they had stayed for the period of one week. He was rescued by land lord and referred to Peace Transitional Home by the local authorities to receive medical support, shelter and protection from harmful habits, love and care, attain development needs and nutrition support.
Nsubuga is now a happy boy and loves playing with other children. He enjoys rice and meat. We are happy to share that Nsubuga is doing well in all the developmental areas of growth.

Timothy was brought to Peace Transitional Home by Busiika police station, her mother aged 13 years old was defiled by his own father aged 45 years. Then father was arrested and charged aggravated defilement and incest. The father was taken to court and sentenced to kitalya prision. The young girl was taken to the childrens home through the local authorities. After delivering the baby she was taken to another home (Ewaffe Children's Home) and the child has no one to stay with thus forwarded to Peace Transitional Home for care and protection.
He is now doing well and loves interacting with other children. He loves watching cartoon and playing with toys. Rice and meat are his favorite dish. Thank you so much for partnering with us and May God bless you all.

Daniel Daniel was abandoned by her biological mother after giving birth. She decided to put him in the black polyathen bag and dumped him in the bush, but a good Samaritan and neighbor rescued his life by taking him to the police. Later on, he was referred to Peace Transitional Home by the concerned authorities for emergency protection and care as the police do the tracing of the parents.
Daniel is physically and mentally okay, he now goes to Peace Transitional School. Running race, Singing and dancing are his favorite activities. He loves playing with toys and watching cartoons. He is active in class when comes to shading, drawing and reading numbers, and his favorite meal is rice and meat. Elisha was found abandoned to a person, that a certain lady requested her to help her carry the baby when she was going to ease herself. Unfortunately, she did not return and the case of child abandonment was reported to the nearest police station. Later on, the concerned authorities handed over the child to Peace Transitional Home for temporary home as trace backs were being done.
Elisha now goes to Peace Transitional School. At school, Elisha loves drawing, reading. Yellow is his favorite color. Color sorting letters and alphabet pillow jumping are his favorite activities during school time. He enjoys English classes and reading books. When he grows up, he hopes to become a lawyer. Isaiah Isaiah was abandoned by unknown person and he was found moving alone at night. He was rescued by a certain person and referred to Peace Transitional Home by the concerned authorities for temporary home as the police do the tracing of the parents. Peace Transitional Home is providing Isaiah with a quality education, so he can grow up to be one of Uganda’s future leaders.
During school time, running race and bottle filling are Isaiah’s favorite outdoor games and it’s no wonder that he chooses drawing, shading and writing as his favorite subjects. Red is his best color. While in his free time, he loves to watch cartoon, playing with other children. Just like others, rice and meat are his favorite meal. Rahiman was abandoned by unknown person. He was abandoned after the death of her mother who died of over bleeding. Rahiman was given to the sister who abandoned him because she was unable to care for the child as she lived heavily dependent on her late sister. Rahiman was rescued by a nearby village person and referred to Peace Transitional Home by the concerned authorities for emergency protection, care and temporary home.
Rahiman loves playing with toys and other children. His best time is mealtime and he loves more of eating than drinking. His best meal is rice and meat. Kabuye Fred was abandoned by her biological mother to a poor grandmother who couldn't afford to support him. The grandmother and stepbrother mistreated Fred without giving him love, care and all the basic needs. He was rescued by a village neighbor and he was referred to Peace Transitional Home very sick and sever cough with scratches on his body, malnourished and was on death point. His short life had been full of incredible sadness.
Through our care, Fred started responding to the medication, nutritious food and sweet love from our caretakers. He is now fairly doing well and very humble. Fred has a good a petite and he enjoys eggs and milk. We thank you all for your positive response.

This precious boy was abandoned by his parent, he was staying with her step mother who was torturing him, without giving him food, love and care. Bashir was rescued by a nearby neighbor from an extremely traumatic situation and was brought to Peace Transitional Home by the concerned authorities.
He is surrounded by many others who love him and show no difference in how he is treated; without stigma or exclusion. At Peace Transitional Home he has a safe, comfortable place to live, he receives an excellent education, nutrition and medical care.
Bashir loves doing practical work like shading and drawing when it comes to studies. Running race and playing with other children are his favorite activities. He is so friendly and loves interacting with other children, rice and meat are his best dish and loves to share his food with other children.

Moses was born a premature (7 months), wrapped in one bed sheet and put in a box was abandoned by unknown person at the rubbish pit at midnight. To make it worse, it rained heavily on him that night before it came to his bright day in the morning where he was discovered and rescued by pass by person. He was there after taken to hospital but on the negative side, the oxygen machine had broken down and this resulted him being transferred to another hospital where he was admitted to the intensive care unit for a period of one month. After his release, he contracted pneumonia for some days and was readmitted to third hospital.
Moses is now growing with his new family in Peace Transitional Home. He loves playing with toys and other children as well. Moses’s favorite time is mealtime, rice and meat are his best dish. We thank all of our friends who have been with us in prayer, paying medical bills and others. May the good Lord reward you abundantly.

Samuel Samuel was referred to Peace Transitional Home by the local authorities. The mother is a blind woman who was once seeing but the problem came after giving birth to his child and the eyes couldn’t see again. It became so difficult to take care of his child and the case was reported to the nearest police station. The child was later referred to Peace Transitional Home for emergency protection and care.
Samuel is not yet at School because he is still young. Since the mother is blind and no one to take care of him, Peace Transitional Home is providing him with medical support, shelter and protection from harmful habits, love and care, attain development needs and nutrition support. Phillip has cerebral palsy, he was abandoned in a garden near a swamp and was rescued by a good Samaritan who heard him cry. She took him to a nearby police station where by he was rescued and referred to the Peace Transitional Home. The minor was seriously ill with cough, flu and malaria and on this basis, immediate admission for treatment was considered that enabled him receive treatment and thereafter, he recovered. Coherently, Phillip was taken for rehabilitation and examination proceeded by a physiotherapist who diagnosed him with cerebral palsy.
To register good improvement in his health, we were advised to exercise regularly with him as well as buy a CP chair and stand for improvement. Phillips favorite meal is rice and chicken, and he loves playing with toys.

Lovin was abandoned by her mother who is mentally unstable to the grandmother who is a drunkard woman. She used to lock the child inside the house and go to bars to take alcohol. Lovin was rescued from an extremely traumatic situation by the village chairperson and the case was reported to the nearby police station. After, she was referred to Peace Transitional Home by the concerned authorities for emergency protection and care as the police does the tracing of her parents.
Sadly, Lovin is affected by HIV/AIDS, she now lives with this disease and receives HIV anti-virals via the Ugandan government. She is surrounded by many others who love her and show no difference in how she is treated, without stigma or exclusion. At Peace Transitional Home she has a safe, comfortable place to live, she receives love and trauma therapy. Lovin now receives much needed nutrition and medical care so she can live a long, healthy life. She will no doubt change her world!
Lovin is now growing with her new family in Peace Transitional Home, she has the most beautiful smile and enjoys playing with other children in our care. She is so friendly and mealtime is her favorite time. Her best dish is rice and meat and she likes more of drinks.
